Princess Charlotte giving Prince Louis a thumbs up after her younger brother got a seat on King Charles III‘s knee went viral on TikTok.
The siblings were at the Platinum Pageant, part of Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, on June 5, 2022.
Prince Louis was filmed heading over to his grandfather for some quality time before getting the gesture of approval from his older sister.
Why It Matters
The moment went newly viral after it was liked 27,800 times and viewed 605,000 times, alongside the caption: “They are so cute together.”
“Louis is NO less important than George and Charlotte,” the original poster, @royalsobs, added.
What to Know
The Platinum Pageant was one of several events where Prince Louis stole the show with his expressive reactions and earned some stern words from his mother, Princess Kate, at the same time.
Prince William has previously discussed wanting Charles to spend more time with his grandchildren, including in the 2018 documentary Prince Charles at 70.
“It’s something I’m working more heavily on, put it that way,” William said. “I think he does have time for it, but I would like him to have more time with the children.”
He added: “Now he’s reached his 70th year it’s a perfect time to consolidate a little bit because, as most families would do, you are worried about having them around and making sure their health’s OK—and he’s the fittest man I know but, equally, I want him to be fit until he’s 95.
“So having more time with him at home would be lovely, and being able to play around with the grandchildren. Because when he’s there, he’s brilliant. But we need him there as much as possible.”
