Although the Heat were a great story getting into the NBA Playoffs through the Play-In Tournament, they haven’t been able to stop the Eastern Conference’s top-seeded Cavaliers and trail 3-0 in the series. In Game 3, the Cavs won 124-87, where the Heat jumped out to a 15-6 lead in front of their home fans, but couldn’t sustain the momentum. Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 22 points and nine rebounds, with Davion Mitchell adding 16, Tyler Herro 13, and Andrew Wiggins 10.

After the initial spurt by the Heat, the Cavs turned it on and never looked back, outscoring the Heat 118-72 the rest of the way. Miami shot a glistening 53.5% from the field, led by Jarrett Allen’s 22 points on 8-for-9 from the field. Star guard Donovan Mitchell had an uncharacteristically poor night, scoring 13 points on 4-for-14, but reserve Ty Jerome made up for it, adding 13 points and 11 assists in just 21 minutes off the bench.
