Millie Bobby Brown Gives Major Life Update

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

Millie Bobby Brown is married, living on a farm, and can now legally have an alcoholic beverage in the United States.

Audiences were introduced to the young actress when she first played Eleven in the first season of Netflix‘s Stranger Things when she was only eleven years old. In what seems like the blink of an eye, she celebrated her 21st birthday on Wednesday, February 19. Brown recently spoke with Vanity Fair about her life and gave her fans a taste of what it is like to be her.

In the article that was published on Wednesday, February 12, the Godzilla: King of the Monsters star told the outlet about her married life and what it’s like to live on a rural farm in Georgia.

Brown and Jake Bongiovi (Bon Jovi’s son) got married in May 2024 after dating for a few years. The two moved to a farm outside of Atlanta, Georgia, where they house over 20 animals, including goats, chickens, dogs, and even a cow (according to an August 2024 article by Hello! Magazine). Brown also helps run Joey’s Friends, a nonprofit animal rescue that is committed to “improving the lives of animals in need,” out of their farmhouse.

“You think animals are peaceful, you think the South is peaceful. You think this place is peaceful,” she told the outlet before she added, “But there’s so much chaos. My animals are loud, and it’s messy, and my dogs are crazy.” Brown also noted that there’s an upside to living on a farm and added, “And there is, you know, laughter and a lot of passion and excitement, and it is a very vibrant place. There is so much chaos, and that is where I thrive.”

Brown finished filming her parts for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things in December 2024. The actress said goodbye to the cast and crew with an emotional speech that she shared on Instagram. Despite not having a set premiere date, fans of the Netflix original series can expect the series to be available for streaming in late 2025.
