United Airlines’ reaction to Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show has gone viral online.
On Sunday, the rapper entertained the crowd at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, as the Philadelphia Eagles took on the Kansas City Chiefs. During his 13-minute set, Lamar performed hits including Humble and Squabble Up, as well as his Drake diss track Not Like Us, which recently won multiple Grammy awards. The mashup was star-studded too, with guests including Samuel L. Jackson, SZA, Serena Williams and Mustard.
In response, United Airlines‘ reposted a clip from the NFL to X of Lamar singing Not Like Us while walking in a circle. The company captioned it: “My bag watching me follow it around the carousel.”
At the time of publication, the video had racked up more than 9.8 million views, with 84,000 likes and over 500 comments.

The replies section was filled with praise, with X user @petrosalema writing: “Hall of fame tweet,” to which United replied with a trophy emoji.
“Best airline tweet maybe ever?” @GarrettHaake said in a message with over 2,300 likes, as United wrote back: “remove the maybe and you’re onto something 🫢.” The response, meanwhile, had 3,600 likes.
“Social team cooked. Somebody deserves a raise,” @solitud3isgold3 chimed in. “Will send this to my boss (and keep in my heart forever). 🫶,” United said.
Even McDonald’s got in on the commenting too, adding: “seriously i can never catch up.” Their note had over 75,000 views and 1,400 likes.
“Our fave sport,” United responded.
Newsweek reached out to Lamar’s representative via email for comment.
The airline often shares puns and quick-witted replies on its X account. On Friday, United dropped an announcement about food on its flights, writing: “Stroop, there it is. Daelmans Stroopwafels are back on board in United Economy.”
One day earlier, the company did a play on words while posting photos of the Kansas City Chiefs disembarking from their flight. “Throwback to The @Chiefs ‘ first *touchdown* in New Orleans.⚜️🎺✈️”
The Eagles won 40-22 against the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Following the game, Eagles quarterback and 2025 Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts said in a press conference that “it’s been a long journey.”
“It’s been a journey of ups and downs and highs and lows,” the 26-year-old said, before adding: “You don’t do great things without the guys around you.”
Meanwhile, Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes, 29, shared a now-viral message to his fans via X. “Appreciate all the love and support from #ChiefsKingdom I let y’all down today. I’ll always continue to work and try and learn and be better for it,” he wrote. “Want to give thanks to God for every opportunity he has given me. We will be back.”
Starting in April, Lamar and SZA kick off their Grand National Tour, which will take place at various locations across North America and Europe.
