Super Bowl LIX was one for the ages, with the Philadelphia Eagles utterly dominating the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22.
While that score already seems lopsided, it was actually even more dramatic than that, with Philadelphia keeping Kansas City scoreless in the first half.

Additionally, the Eagles kept the Chiefs to only 36 total yards of offense in the first half.
Still, there were plenty of moments that stood out.

Jahan Dotson Makes A Massive Catch
This was the first moment where it looked like things would go the Eagles’ way. Receiver Jahan Datson made a fantastic catch with a Chiefs defender right on his tail.
While it looked like a touchdown at first, it turned out that Datson was down at the one. Still, this was enough to start the momentum Philadelphia needed on offense.
Cooper DeJean Intercepts Patrick Mahomes for a Touchdown
Focus is often put on the offense in these games, but the Eagles’ defense was truly something else, sacking Patrick Mahomes six times and constantly applying pressure.
This resulted in mistakes, one that went into the hands of rookie Cooper DeJean, who celebrated his 22nd birthday with an interception that resulted in a touchdown.
Zack Baun Interception Leads to AJ Brown Touchdown
While Zack Baun’s interception wasn’t as dramatic, it was another example of defensive pressure leading to Mahomes making mistakes.
All credit is given to Baun, who dove to make sure that the Chief’s offensive drive ended right there.
This would result in a touchdown pass to A.J. Brown, his first of the night.
Xavier Worthy Makes Epic Catch Chiefs’ First Touchdown
While Kansas City was left scoreless for the first half, there were exciting moments in the second half, including Mahomes’ incredible 50 yard touchdown pass to Xavier Worthy.
This moment could easily have led to a big comeback for the Chiefs. However, the Eagles’ defense had other plans.
Milton Williams Strip Sacks Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes has proven time and again that he is most dangerous when he is coming back from behind. The only thing you can do to stop him from working miracles is applying the pressure.
Milton Williams did that and more, strip sacking the two-time MVP and basically cementing the outcome.
Another Epic Xavier Worthy Catch in Garbage Time
Finally, Mahomes once again proved why he is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time when he threw another 50 yard touchdown pass to Worthy. However, it was too little too late, and the outcome of the game was sealed.
