The New York Jets have officially ended their head coach search, as Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn will now be the organization’s leader. Glenn was announced as head coach on Wednesday.

There is plenty of excitement surrounding Glenn, who became a massive head coach target for multiple teams. Despite multiple teams interviewing him, Glenn has chosen to join the Jets.

The hire is sure to send shockwaves through the NFL world, and the news has already been touched on by one of the most legendary Jets players. “Broadway” Joe Namath has reacted on X to the monumental hire.

“I’m hoping all nyjets fans are as thrilled as my family and I are that Aaron Glenn is our new Head Coach. I wish the season would start next week!” Namath’s post reads.
