A woman from Hot Springs, Arkansas, who was reported missing more than a year ago, has been found safe, police said on Friday.

The Hot Springs Police Department announced on Facebook that Tori Milsak was located on Thursday after an “extensive search.”

An officer from the Little Rock Police Department was dispatched to a gas station in the city for a report of a woman who said she was missing, according to an incident report obtained by Newsweek.

The officer said he spoke with Milsak, 35, who said she saw herself on the news in relation to her being reported missing.

Before her disappearance, Milsak was last seen on June 6, 2024, on Edgewood Street in Hot Springs. Following her discovery, she was taken into custody by Little Rock police due to an outstanding warrant from Garland County.

The Hot Springs Police Department asked for the public’s assistance in finding Milsak in September of last year. Officials said it has been reported she “may have mental health concerns.”

Milsak told police she left home a year ago, according to the incident report. The responding officer said he conducted a records check on Milsak and confirmed that she was reported missing and that she had a failure to appear warrant out of Garland County, the report said.

Milsak was transported to Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility and was expected to be picked up by Garland County officials on Friday.

Newsweek reached out to the Hot Springs Police Department for comment.

Milsak was reported missing by her family after they had not communicated with her for several weeks, KTHV reported.
