Ryan Digman, a youth disability advocate from Carmichael, California, made headlines on Wednesday, February 26 by winning $100,000 on the 10,000th episode of The Price Is Right.

Digman, a single father to an 8-year-old son with autism, wore a yellow shirt with the phrase “I am a dad on a mission to spin the wheel,” when he appeared on the show. He was so visibly moved by his win that he collapsed to the floor. Later that same day, Digman spoke to his local news station about the win.

“I got to win a life-changing amount of money for me and my son, and it really kind of makes me cry a little bit still,” he told CBS News Sacramento. “You saw me really emotional because times right now are really rough for a lot of people.”

Digman must have known in his gut that this episode would be special, because he said he was the first to arrive for the show’s taping. “I ended up being the first person in line at 4:30 in the morning,” he told the outlet. He drove from Sacramento to Los Angeles by himself for the experience. In fact, he said he “manifested” the win, adding, “I even told people before I went up there, I said ‘I’m going to go on The Price Is Right and win $100,000,’ and I did,” he said.

The single father joked that he may appear on competition shows in the future — he befriended a fellow contestant, a woman from Colorado, who he plans to see again soon. “You never know. You might see us on an Amazing Race type of journey in the future, connected by this wonderful experience that we’ve had,” Digman said.

The hosts of the local morning news show were moved by Digman’s tale as well, with reporter Kayla Moeller saying she was “smiling ear to ear” while working on the story.
