Aside from being an all-time talent in the NBA, Kevin Durant is also a big fan of the NFL. During a recent interview, the former MVP uttered a bold prediction regarding a key member of the Dallas Cowboys roster.
Growing up in Washington DC, Durant has long been an avid supporter of the Commanders. He can regularly be spotted at games, especially last season during their surprising run to the conference championship. With the franchise trending in the right direction, he thinks they’ll be adding a notable player in the near future.
This weekend, Durant was one of the many big names in attendance for Fanatics’ “Fanatic Fest” in New York City. While talking about his favorite team, he let out a bold prediction. KD believes that Cowboys’ linebacker Micah Parsons will be suiting up for the Commanders in the coming years.

“I think he will be a Commander at some point in his career,” Durant said of Parsons. “I would say two years from now.”
Parsons ended up popping up to respond to Durant’s prediction. He admitted that he is a big fan of Commanders head coach Dan Quinn. The two have a strong relationship from Quinn’s brief stint as defensive coordinator for the Cowboys.
“Yo, I only rock with Dan Quinn,” Parsons responded.

Durant is very passionate about the Commanders and has been interested in becoming connected to the franchise in some way. During a 2022 interview with ESPN, he opened up on wanting to join the investment group that was preparing to purchase the team.
“In a perfect world, I would be a part of it,” Durant told ESPN. “I would love to do it. I would love to give a little bit of my money to be a part of the Commanders, but we’ll see. Hopefully it’s somebody nice. I heard [Amazon CEO Jeff] Bezos and Jay-Z, but you never know.”
When he wasn’t giving his takes on the football world, Durant reacted to the newest chapter of his career. After being in rumors for months, the star forward finds himself on the move again. On Sunday afternoon, the Phoenix Suns agreed to terms on a trade that will send Durant to the Houston Rockets.
