Arkansas lost 4-1 to LSU in the first round, moving the team to 48-14 on the season. In the loss to the Tigers, LSU got off to a quick start, scoring three runs before Razorbacks starter Zach Root exited the game in the second inning. Relief pitcher Gabe Gaeckle steadied things, striking out 10 batters in six innings, but the Arkansas bats never came alive, scoring just once on a Reese Robinett solo homer.

Murray State is coming off a 6-4 loss to UCLA. The team is now 44-16 on the season after that loss to the Bruins. The Racers trailed 6-0 after the fourth inning before finally generating some offense, beginning in the fifth with an RBI single from Carson Garner. Dan Tauken, Charlie Jury, and Conner Cunningham all contributed RBIs as well, but the team couldn’t get past its early deficit.
