Druski’s ‘White Boy’ Skit Leaves People Divided

Druski’s latest skit has divided opinions online.

Over the weekend, the comedian—whose real name is Drew Desbordes—posted a video alongside the caption “WhiteBoy that’s accepted by the Hood,” and while some found the clip humorous, others criticized him.

Newsweek reached out to Desbordes’ representative via email for comment.

The Context

Desbordes is an internet personality known for his viral skits. The 30-year-old boasts millions of followers across social media, including 9.6 million on Instagram, 9.4 million on TikTok and 1.5 million on X, formerly Twitter. He also has 3.71 million subscribers on YouTube.

In 2021, he launched the record label Coulda Been Records, and in February 2024, he started his YouTube reality show Coulda Been House. Over the years, Desbordes has worked with celebrities including Kevin Hart, Lil Baby, J. Cole, Lil Yachty and Drake.

In an interview with Rolling Stone last year, Desbordes spoke out about his fame: “We don’t need anybody to tell us we can be on that TV show, or to kiss up to somebody to try to get in that door. I think it’s just amazing that I can create my fan base.”
