
Druski’s latest skit has divided opinions online.
Over the weekend, the comedian—whose real name is Drew Desbordes—posted a video alongside the caption “WhiteBoy that’s accepted by the Hood,” and while some found the clip humorous, others criticized him.
Newsweek reached out to Desbordes’ representative via email for comment.
The Context
Desbordes is an internet personality known for his viral skits. The 30-year-old boasts millions of followers across social media, including 9.6 million on Instagram, 9.4 million on TikTok and 1.5 million on X, formerly Twitter. He also has 3.71 million subscribers on YouTube.
In 2021, he launched the record label Coulda Been Records, and in February 2024, he started his YouTube reality show Coulda Been House. Over the years, Desbordes has worked with celebrities including Kevin Hart, Lil Baby, J. Cole, Lil Yachty and Drake.
In an interview with Rolling Stone last year, Desbordes spoke out about his fame: “We don’t need anybody to tell us we can be on that TV show, or to kiss up to somebody to try to get in that door. I think it’s just amazing that I can create my fan base.”

What To Know
On Sunday, Desbordes took to Instagram, TikTok and X, formerly Twitter, to share the controversial “white boy” skit.
In the video, Desbordes dressed in whiteface while participating in activities like dancing and driving.
At the time of publication, the Instagram post racked up 19.4 million views on Instagram with 1.5 million likes and 135,000 comments. On TikTok, it garnered an additional 11.6 million views, 2.2 million likes and 34,100 comments. And on X, it had 78 million views, 368,000 likes and 6,300 comments.
On Instagram, Desbordes reacted to the virality of the post. “Wow 100K comments in 4 hours,” he said. “I LOVE YALL.”

Comedian Theo Von wrote in a remark with 25.4 million views: “Its on nah! Lemme get my paint.”
While some agreed with Desbordes:
