Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned on Sunday that he’s “concerned” about the whole airspace of the United States, citing old equipment being used by the Federal Aviation Administration.
“I’m concerned about the whole airspace,” Duffy said during an interview with NBC News’ Meet the Press. “The equipment that we use—much of it we can’t buy parts for new. We have to go on eBay and buy parts if one part goes down.”
“You’re dealing with really old equipment. We’re dealing with copper wires, not high-speed fiber,” he said.
