Taylor Lautner is making his return to television in a brand-new supernatural show.

The 33 year old actor, who is best known for his portrayal of Jacob Black from the Twilight movie franchise, took a break from acting for a while after the release of the final movie (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2) in 2012. He has since been in several projects including an uncredited role on Grown Ups 2 and Scream Queens following his post-Twilight acting break. He is also the host of a podcast alongside his wife, who is also named Taylor Lautner, called The Squeeze, and recently confirmed his return to TV with a post on Instagram.

Lautner shared a couple of photos of a Variety article about his new show, Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter, on Wednesday, February 12, with a caption that read, “Just when I thought I was out… they pull me back in.”

Cast and Crew

Lautner is set to play the titular character of the series and is the only confirmed cast member. The actor is also making his debut as an executive producer on the show.

There are two directors attached to the project, according to IMDb: Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who co-directed both Scream V and Scream VI. The directors are also listed as executive producers alongside Lautner and a few others, including Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tarik Kanafani, and Adam Londy. Daisy Garner, who is best known for her work on 30 Rock and Californication, is also credited as an executive producer as well as the creator and showrunner of the series.

Production and Development

The project is in development at Amazon MGM Studios and was brought to the entertainment company by Tornante, an independent television studio responsible for shows like BoJack Horseman and NOS4A2. Despite being confirmed, the upcoming series doesn’t have a release date yet.
