Massive Blockbuster Trade Idea Sees Warriors Land $215 Million All-Star Guard

The 2025 NBA trade deadline is less than a month away and there are many teams out there looking to bolster their roster.

One of the few teams out there that are looking to do just that is the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors were among the first teams to make a trade this season, trading for guard Dennis Schröder from the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 15.

The Feb. 6 trade deadline is a highly anticipated one, and Golden State’s front office is increasing its dealmaking aspirations.

They can go a multitude of ways to bolster their team, and this trade proposal has the Warriors adding one of the more athletic guards in the league today and two-time All-Star Zach LaVine.

Here’s what a potential trade for LaVine to the Bay Area would look like.

Warriors receive: Zach LaVine and Torrey Craig

Bulls receive: Andrew Wiggins, Buddy Hield, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, and a 2027 first-round pick.

Although the Warriors need a center as the deadline approaches, this would give them another scoring punch and a serious threat in the postseason.

LaVine has been stellar this season, and more importantly, he has been healthy. He has already played in more games this season than he had last season.

In 33 games, LaVine is averaging 23.6 points per game, 4.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 0.8 steals while shooting 51 percent from the field and 44 percent from three in 33.6 minutes of action.

In his last nine games, he has averaged 27.1 points per game, 5.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 0.9 steals while shooting 54.8 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from three in 34.2 minutes.

A trade for LaVine, no matter the team, has always been difficult due to his large max contract and recent injury history. This has made teams hesitant to take on a significant financial commitment, especially considering his potential role as a third option for a contending team.

However, this trade gives the Warriors a player to rely on other than their superstar guard Stephen Curry, and he would be Golden State’s second option.

The Bulls have been looking to move LaVine for a while, but he represents a tricky acquisition for any interested party. He’s been putting up empty stats while in Chicago, scoring points in bunches but recording just one playoff appearance in seven seasons.

However, with a team like the Warriors, LaVine could finally be playing meaningful basketball and make an impact on a great team, potentially.
