3 Best First Round Fits for San Francisco 49ers in 2025 NFL Draft

The San Francisco 49ers might have had the most transformative offseason of any NFL team this spring.

However, it was not in a good way.

Just in the last couple of months, the 49ers have lost 17 different players, including star receiver Deebo Samuel, running back Jordan Mason, defenders like Javon Hargrave, Leonard Floyd, Dre Greenlaw, Chavarius Ward, and many more.

Now, the 49ers have needs across the board, and will have plenty of opportunities to make the right picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

So which direction will they go? Let’s take a look a three first round fits for the 49ers at No. 11.

Will Campbell

The 49ers need help along both fronts, so why not go after the best offensive tackle in the draft?

There is a good chance that LSU’s Will Cambell is off the board at No. 11, as well as No. 2 tackle Armand Membou. In which case, the 49ers could also look at Kelvin Banks.

However, in terms of fit, Campbell is the best bet, due to his ability to play both outside and inside, depending on wherever the 49ers decide to use him alongside Trent Williams.

Mykel Williams, DE, Georgia

Thanks to the sheer number of losses this offseason, the biggest needs for the 49ers come along the defensive front, whether it be defensive tackle or edge rusher.

If they elect to go edge, Georgia’s Mykel Williams would be a tremendous fit opposite of Nick Bosa for a long time to come. He is hyper-athletic and has a huge upside. He also has a tendency to show up when needed the most, which is always a great sign.

Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

Another position San Francisco needs a lot of help is at corner, and they should have their pick of the litter there when they are on the clock.

You could just as easily see the 49ers picking Jahdae Barron in this spot, but based on everything we have seen in the last couple of weeks, it appears Michigan’s Will Johnson will be the first corner off of the board.

Johnson is a true lockdown corner who can take away half of the field, and was an absolute force at Michigan when healthy.

He could be the same for the 49ers in due time.
